Zonta Club of Kankakee Mission Statement

health and professional issues.”

The Meaning of the Word “Zonta”:

*Indian word for “trustworthy” and “honest."

*Indian symbol for ray of light or sunshine or flash of light.  “Alive!” also
    will represent Zonta.

*Indian symbol for “to stand with.” To band together for a purpose.

*Indian symbol for “to carry together.”

*Representing shelter as being indoor organization, not “out-of-doors,”
     as most Indian names convey.

*On the square. Honest-true-trustworthy.
